Online Orders

How do I place an online order?

Confirm the exact part or model number, add the product to your cart, and complete checkout. Review your shipping address, email, phone number, quantities, and product numbers before submitting.

Do I need an account to order?

Guest checkout may be available. Creating an account can make it easier to review orders and manage your information.

When will my card be charged?

Payment is generally processed when the order is placed. Additional verification may be required for some transactions.

What online payment methods do you accept?

Available methods appear during checkout and may include major credit cards, PayPal, and other approved payment services.

Can I change, add to, or cancel an order?

Contact us as quickly as possible. Changes or cancellation cannot be guaranteed after an order enters processing, is transferred to a supplier, is special-ordered, or ships. Additional items may require a separate order.

Why was my order canceled?

Possible reasons include inventory discrepancies, discontinued products, pricing errors, payment verification, manufacturer restrictions, shipping limitations, or inability to fulfill the order. The applicable payment will be voided or refunded.

Why did I receive only part of my order?

Items may ship separately because they are in different locations, need different carriers, or become available at different times. You may receive multiple tracking numbers.

Why did I not receive an order confirmation?

Check spam or junk folders and confirm the email entered at checkout. If it is still missing, contact us with your name, phone number, and order or payment details—but never send a complete card number.

How do I check my order status?

Use the tracking link in your shipping confirmation or contact us with your order number.

Can I order by phone?

Contact our team for assistance. Some transactions may require a secure payment link, written quote, or in-person payment.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Purchase orders may be accepted from approved commercial, municipal, government, or institutional customers. Credit approval and account setup may be required.

Do you collect sales tax?

Sales tax is collected when required by law. Tax-exempt customers must provide valid documentation and receive approval before the transaction. A tax adjustment after purchase cannot be guaranteed.

Product Availability & Backorders

Does “in stock” guarantee immediate shipment?

Inventory is updated regularly, but occasional discrepancies occur when products sell online and in-store at the same time. An order is confirmed after inventory and payment are verified.

What does “available to order” mean?

The product may be available from a manufacturer or distributor but not physically at our Fort Myers store. Additional processing time may be required.

What is a backorder?

A backordered product is temporarily unavailable but may still be ordered from a manufacturer or distributor. Availability dates can change without notice.

How long will a backordered item take?

Timing depends on the manufacturer, distributor, production schedule, and transportation. Any estimated date is subject to change and is not guaranteed.

Will you notify me about a backorder?

We make reasonable efforts to notify customers when an unexpected availability issue or delay affects an order.

Can I cancel a backordered item?

Contact us to request cancellation. Approval depends on whether the supplier has already processed or committed the order.

Can you recommend an alternative?

When possible, we can check for an official superseded part, a manufacturer-approved replacement, an alternative brand, or another equipment option.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We ship eligible products within the United States. Some destinations and products—including certain batteries, hazardous materials, oversized items, and manufacturer-restricted products—do not qualify for standard shipping. See our Shipping Policy.

How quickly are orders processed?

Most in-stock orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment. Peak seasons, holidays, inventory verification, or supplier delays may require longer.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery commonly takes approximately 2–7 business days after shipment, depending on carrier and destination. Carrier estimates are not guaranteed.

Which shipping carriers do you use?

Depending on the product and destination, we may use UPS, FedEx, USPS, or a freight carrier.

How much does shipping cost?

Cost is based on product weight, dimensions, destination, and service. Oversized equipment may require a custom freight quote.

Can I request expedited shipping?

Expedited service may be available for certain items, but it affects carrier transit time and may not shorten processing time. Contact us before ordering if you have a firm deadline.

Will I receive tracking?

When tracking is available, it is emailed after shipment. It may take up to 24 hours to become active.

Why has tracking not updated?

The carrier may not have scanned the package yet. Updates can also be delayed by weekends, holidays, severe weather, or high-volume periods.

Can you guarantee a delivery date?

No. Carrier delivery dates are estimates. Barry’s Power Equipment is not responsible for carrier, weather, or transportation delays.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box, Alaska, or Hawaii?

Some small USPS items can go to a P.O. Box. UPS, FedEx, and freight generally require a street address. Alaska and Hawaii eligibility depends on size, weight, carrier, and hazardous-material restrictions; contact us before ordering.

Do you ship internationally?

Our standard website shipping is for U.S. addresses. Customers using a freight forwarder are responsible for export eligibility, documents, taxes, duties, and destination-country requirements.

Do you ship batteries, fuel products, or aerosols?

Some batteries, oils, chemicals, aerosols, and fuel-related products are regulated. They may require ground service, special labels, added fees, or local pickup.

Can equipment containing gasoline be shipped?

Fuel-powered equipment must meet carrier and hazardous-material rules. It cannot ship with gasoline in the fuel system unless specifically permitted and properly prepared.

Do you ship large equipment by freight?

Eligible equipment may ship by freight. A commercial address, forklift, dock, or liftgate may be required. Residential, limited-access, appointment, and liftgate fees may apply.

What should I do when freight arrives?

Inspect the equipment, pallet, crate, wrapping, and packaging before signing. Note any damage clearly on the delivery receipt, take detailed photos, and contact us immediately.

What if my package arrives damaged?

Report damage within 48 hours of delivery. Keep the product, box, packaging, shipping label, and contents. Photos and documentation may be required for a carrier claim.

What if my order is lost in transit?

Contact us if tracking has not moved for an unusual period or shows delivery when nothing was received. We will assist with available tracking and claim procedures.

What happens if I enter the wrong address?

Customers are responsible for a correct, complete address. Redirection is not guaranteed after shipment, and extra charges may apply for redirecting, returning, or reshipping the package.

Is a delivery signature required?

A signature may be required based on product value, service, destination, or fraud-prevention requirements.

Can an order arrive in multiple packages?

Yes. Items may arrive in separate packages on different days, each with its own tracking number.

Local Pickup & Delivery

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes. Eligible products can be picked up at our Fort Myers store. Please wait for confirmation that your order is ready before traveling.

What do I need to bring for pickup?

Bring valid photo identification, your order confirmation, and—when requested—the payment card used. Additional verification may be required.

Can someone else pick up my order?

Contact us in advance to add an authorized pickup person. They may need valid photo identification.

How long will you hold a pickup order?

Holding periods vary by product and order type. Contact us if you cannot pick up promptly.

Will you help load equipment?

We can assist when appropriate equipment and personnel are available. Bring a suitable vehicle or trailer, proper tie-downs, and safe transportation equipment.

Who is responsible for securing equipment?

The customer or transporter is responsible for safely securing equipment after loading using proper straps, adequate trailer capacity, and all applicable safety measures.

Do you offer local delivery?

Local delivery may be available for certain equipment and locations. Fees depend on distance, equipment size, scheduling, and site access. Contact sales for a quote.

Equipment Sales

What types of equipment do you sell?

Our selection includes zero-turn, stand-on, and walk-behind mowers; chainsaws; trimmers; edgers; hedge trimmers; blowers; brush cutters; generators; sprayers; pressure washers; sod cutters; lawn vacuums; small engines; batteries; chargers; and accessories. Availability varies by brand, model, and season.

Do you sell both residential and commercial equipment?

Yes. We carry equipment for residential property maintenance and demanding commercial use. Our team can compare models based on property size, terrain, operating hours, budget, and workload.

How do I choose the right lawn mower?

Consider property size, terrain, obstacles, gate width, cutting conditions, desired deck size, trailer space, and expected operating hours. Commercial buyers should also compare productivity, fuel capacity, serviceability, suspension, engine options, and fleet compatibility.

What size mower deck should I choose?

Smaller decks are easier to maneuver through gates and around landscaping. Larger decks cover open areas faster but need more storage and transportation space. Measure gates, trailer openings, storage areas, and narrow access points before purchasing.

What is the difference between residential and commercial mowers?

Commercial mowers are generally built for longer operating hours and tougher conditions, with heavier frames, commercial-grade engines, stronger transmissions, larger fuel tanks, and more durable cutting systems. Residential models are intended for lighter, less frequent use.

What is the difference between a zero-turn and a stand-on mower?

Zero-turn mowers provide a seated position and are popular for larger properties and extended mowing. Stand-on mowers offer excellent visibility, compact transport, and easier mounting and dismounting. The right choice depends on terrain, operator preference, trailer space, and daily workload.

Do you sell used equipment or accept trade-ins?

Used and trade-in equipment may be available. Trade-ins may be considered toward qualifying purchases after inspection. Value depends on brand, model, age, hours, condition, and market demand.

Can I inspect or test equipment before purchasing?

You are welcome to inspect available equipment at our Fort Myers store. Demonstration availability depends on the product, inventory, weather, and store conditions.

Is equipment assembled and explained before pickup?

Most major equipment purchased in-store is assembled and prepared according to manufacturer delivery requirements. When applicable, our team can review basic controls, starting procedures, maintenance points, and safety information. Always read the operator manual before use.

Does new equipment come with fuel?

Fuel levels vary by equipment and manufacturer requirements. A machine may contain a small amount for setup or testing. Ask our team before transporting or storing it.

Can I reserve or special-order equipment?

Yes, depending on availability. A deposit or completed purchase may be required to reserve a unit. Special-order arrival dates are estimates and may change; deposit and cancellation restrictions may apply.

Are website prices the same as in-store prices?

Online and in-store prices may differ because of shipping, promotions, manufacturer programs, cash pricing, financing fees, or fleet discounts. The product page or written quote controls the terms of your purchase.

Do product photos always show the exact item?

Photos are for reference and may show optional accessories, previous versions, or features not included. Verify the model number, part number, specifications, and included components before ordering.

Can manufacturers change product specifications?

Yes. Manufacturers may change specifications, packaging, model numbers, or features without notice. Use the current manufacturer specifications and exact model number for final confirmation.

Replacement Parts

Do you sell replacement parts?

Yes. We carry thousands of replacement parts for lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, small engines, and other outdoor power equipment. Shop replacement parts.

Do you sell genuine OEM and aftermarket parts?

Many parts we sell are genuine OEM parts. Selected aftermarket parts and accessories may also be available. The listing should identify which type is offered; contact us if you need confirmation.

What does OEM mean?

OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. An OEM part is produced or approved by the manufacturer for use on specified equipment.

How do I find the correct replacement part?

Use the equipment’s complete model and serial number, plus its type, code, or specification number and original part number when available. Fitment should never be determined by appearance alone.

Why do you need my model and serial number?

Manufacturers often use different parts within the same model family. Serial, type, code, or specification information identifies the production version and helps prevent an incorrect order.

Where can I find the model and serial number?

Look for an identification label on the frame, engine, mower deck, rear panel, handle assembly, starter housing, or under the seat. If you cannot find it, send clear photos of the equipment and every identification label.

Is the engine model number the same as the equipment model number?

No. The equipment and engine usually have separate identification. Engine parts require engine model/type/code or specification details; chassis, deck, and transmission parts usually require the equipment model and serial number.

Can you identify a part from a photo or parts diagram?

Photos and diagrams help, but may not guarantee compatibility. Provide the complete model, serial, original part number, and several clear photos. The parts diagram must match the exact equipment version.

Can I order a part not listed on your website?

Often, yes. Send us the manufacturer, complete model and serial number, and the part you need. We may be able to locate or special-order it.

What does “superseded” mean?

A superseded part number was officially replaced by a newer manufacturer number. The updated part may look different but is intended to replace the older version when listed as compatible.

Why does the replacement part look different?

Manufacturers may update materials, color, shape, design, or packaging. If the manufacturer officially superseded the original number, the newer design may still be correct. Contact us before installation if unsure.

Does a part fit every model listed in the title?

Not always. Model families can contain multiple production versions. Confirm fitment using the complete model, serial, type, code, or specification number.

Can I order parts by description only?

We strongly recommend using the exact manufacturer part number. Descriptions such as “mower belt,” “starter,” or “carburetor” are not specific enough to guarantee fitment.

Are hardware, gaskets, and installation materials included?

Only components included in the manufacturer’s official description are supplied. Bolts, nuts, gaskets, seals, brackets, wiring, and other installation items may be sold separately unless specifically stated.

Are parts sold individually or as a set?

Parts are sold according to manufacturer packaging and the listing quantity. A photo may show multiple pieces for illustration. Contact us if the included quantity is unclear.

Why does a diagram show a discontinued part?

Older diagrams may still display parts the manufacturer no longer supplies. If no official replacement exists, the part may be unavailable.

Can you guarantee that a part will fix my equipment?

No. Even a correct part may not solve the problem if the diagnosis is wrong or another component caused the failure. Professional diagnosis is recommended when the cause is uncertain.

Do parts include installation instructions?

Many replacement parts do not include instructions. Refer to manufacturer service information or use a qualified technician. Electrical and electronic parts should be professionally diagnosed and installed.

Can I return a part I ordered incorrectly?

Eligible, unused parts may be considered within the return period if all packaging and condition requirements are met. Electrical and electronic parts are not eligible for standard returns. Review our Return Policy.

Can a special-order part be canceled?

Contact us immediately. Cancellation is not guaranteed after the order has been submitted to the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.

STIHL Products

Do you sell STIHL equipment and genuine parts?

Yes. Barry’s Power Equipment is a STIHL dealer and carries eligible STIHL equipment, accessories, and genuine replacement parts.

Can STIHL products be shipped?

Many STIHL products are subject to manufacturer dealer policies and are local pickup only at our Fort Myers store. Confirm shipping eligibility on the product page or with our team before ordering.

Can I order STIHL products online for store pickup?

Eligible products may be ordered or reserved online for pickup in Fort Myers. Identification and order verification may be required.

Why is a STIHL item marked “Local Pickup Only”?

Certain STIHL products must be delivered through an authorized servicing dealer under manufacturer requirements and cannot be sent by ordinary parcel shipping.

Do STIHL products come assembled?

Preparation depends on the product and STIHL delivery requirements. Qualifying equipment is generally prepared by the dealer before customer pickup.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return period?

Eligible non-defective merchandise may be considered for return within 30 days of shipment. All returns are subject to our complete Return Policy and may require prior authorization.

How do I start a return?

Use the website Returns Portal when available. If the item is not eligible through the portal, submit a request through our Contact Us page. Do not ship anything back before following the provided instructions.

What is a Return Authorization (RA)?

An RA is permission to send an eligible product back for inspection. Receiving an RA does not automatically guarantee a refund.

What condition must a return be in?

Approved returns must include original packaging, intact UPC barcode, packing slip, accessories, manuals, warranty materials, and all originally included components. The product must meet all conditions in our Return Policy.

Is there a restocking fee?

Eligible non-defective returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%, depending on the product and returned condition.

Are shipping charges refundable?

Original and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable unless expressly approved otherwise.

Are electrical and electronic parts returnable?

No. Electrical and electronic parts are not eligible for standard return, refund, or exchange. Examples include ignition modules, coils, ECUs, boards, displays, stators, starters, solenoids, sensors, switches, harnesses, electric PTO clutches, fuel pumps, alternators, and relays.

Why are electrical parts non-returnable?

They can be damaged by installation, improper testing or diagnosis, voltage or wiring problems, or failure of another component. Their condition often cannot be verified after shipment, connection, or installation.

Can gasoline-powered equipment be returned?

Gasoline-powered equipment cannot be returned after fuel is added. If a fueled unit develops a problem, it must be evaluated through the applicable manufacturer warranty process.

Can I return a product without its original box?

Original packaging is required for most returns. Missing or damaged packaging may make the item ineligible or result in deductions.

Can I return an installed part?

Parts showing installation, use, modification, damage, or testing may not qualify. Electrical and electronic parts are non-returnable as described in our policy.

Can I return a special-order item?

Special-order items may have additional restrictions and may not be returnable. Confirm conditions before ordering.

What if I send back the wrong item?

The returned product must match the item and part number approved in the RA. Incorrect, incomplete, damaged, or misclassified returns may be refused or charged additional fees.

How long does a refund take and where is it sent?

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after receipt and inspection. Bank or card processing time varies after submission.

Are promotional items returnable?

If a purchase included a free promotional item, it may also need to be returned to receive full refund credit.

Warranty Information

Do your products include a warranty?

Most new equipment and many parts include a limited manufacturer warranty. Duration and coverage vary by brand, product, and residential or commercial use. Review our Warranty Policy.

Is the warranty provided by Barry’s Power Equipment?

Unless stated otherwise, coverage is provided by the manufacturer. Barry’s may assist when authorized, but final decisions are made under the manufacturer’s policy.

What do I need for a warranty claim?

Proof of purchase, model and serial numbers, and a clear problem description are generally required. Original identification labels must remain intact and legible.

Are labor and transportation covered?

It depends on the manufacturer. Transportation, pickup, delivery, diagnosis, and labor are not automatically covered.

Are belts, blades, filters, tires, and batteries covered?

Normal wear items are generally excluded unless the manufacturer determines the failure resulted from a covered defect.

Is old or contaminated fuel damage covered?

Damage from contaminated or stale fuel, incorrect mixture, improper storage, neglect, or inadequate maintenance is generally not covered.

Does commercial use affect warranty coverage?

Yes. Some manufacturers provide shorter or different coverage for commercial use. Review the terms for your intended use.

Can modifications affect the warranty?

Unauthorized modifications, removal of safety devices, performance changes, or unapproved components may void coverage.

What if a new item arrives defective?

Contact us promptly and within the policy reporting period. Stop using the item and do not disassemble or modify it. Photos, video, testing, inspection, or an RA may be required.

Can I return a defective fueled machine?

Once gasoline is added, the machine cannot be returned as standard merchandise. It must be handled through manufacturer warranty and authorized service procedures.

Service & Repairs

Do you repair outdoor power equipment?

Yes. We service many types of outdoor power equipment depending on brand, model, age, parts availability, and shop capacity. View service information.

What equipment do you service?

Our capabilities may include lawn mowers, commercial mowing equipment, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and other small-engine equipment. Contact us before bringing equipment in.

Do you repair equipment purchased elsewhere?

We may, depending on brand, equipment type, age, condition, and parts availability.

Do I need a service appointment?

Procedures may vary by season and workload. Contact the service department before bringing large equipment or items requiring special handling.

How long will my repair take?

Timing depends on workload, diagnosis, technician availability, parts, manufacturer support, and backorders. Completion estimates are not guaranteed.

Is there a diagnostic fee?

Diagnostic or inspection charges may apply. Contact our service department for current rates and procedures.

Will I receive an estimate before repair?

When required, we provide an estimate or request approval before exceeding the authorized amount. Estimates can change if additional problems appear during disassembly or testing.

Why is diagnosis charged if I decline the repair?

Diagnosis requires technician time, testing equipment, and sometimes disassembly. The charge covers work needed to identify the likely cause.

Can you diagnose equipment by phone?

We can discuss common symptoms, but accurate diagnosis usually requires physical inspection and testing because several failures can cause the same symptom.

Should I remove fuel before service?

Contact service for instructions. Equipment must be transported upright, securely tied down, and without active fuel leaks.

What information should I provide at drop-off?
  • Your name and current contact information
  • Equipment and engine identification numbers
  • A clear description of the problem and when it began
  • Recent repairs or replaced parts
  • Fuel type and approximate fuel age
What if additional problems are found?

We may contact you for additional authorization if the work exceeds the approved scope or amount.

Can I supply my own repair parts?

Customer-supplied parts may not be accepted. If accepted, Barry’s may not provide warranty for the part, compatibility, or additional labor caused by an incorrect or defective component.

Can I keep replaced parts?

Ask in advance. Some warranty parts must be retained or returned to the manufacturer and cannot be released.

How long will you hold completed equipment?

Please pick up promptly after notification. Storage fees or other conditions may apply to equipment left for an extended period.

Why can older equipment take longer to repair?

Parts may be discontinued, backordered, or hard to locate. Technicians may also need extra time to identify prior modifications or multiple mechanical problems.

Do you offer repair pickup and delivery?

Pickup and delivery may be available in select areas for certain equipment. Fees, distance limits, and scheduling requirements apply.

Maintenance & Equipment Care

How often should I change engine oil?

Follow the manufacturer’s operator manual. Intervals vary by engine, hours, temperature, dust, and workload. Commercial or severe conditions may require more frequent service.

What type of fuel should I use?

Use the fuel and octane specified in the operator manual. Avoid stale or contaminated fuel and fuel containing more ethanol than the manufacturer permits.

How long can gasoline remain in equipment?

Fuel can deteriorate quickly, especially in Florida heat and humidity. Follow manufacturer storage directions and use approved stabilizer when appropriate.

What happens if I use the wrong two-cycle mixture?

An incorrect oil-to-fuel ratio can cause poor performance, smoke, carbon buildup, overheating, or severe engine damage. Use the exact mixture required by the manufacturer.

How often should mower blades be sharpened?

It depends on hours, grass, sand, debris, and cutting quality. Inspect regularly; replace any blade that is bent, cracked, excessively worn, or unsafe.

Why is my mower cutting unevenly?

Possible causes include incorrect tire pressure, dull or damaged blades, an unlevel deck, bent parts, worn spindles, deck buildup, or mowing conditions. Inspection may be required.

Why will my small engine not start?

Common causes include old fuel, incorrect starting procedure, restricted fuel flow, a dirty filter, fouled plug, ignition problems, safety switches, or internal damage. Test before ordering parts.

Why does my mower belt keep breaking?

Possible causes include wrong routing or belt, damaged pulleys, seized bearings, bent brackets, misalignment, incorrect tension, or debris. Correct the underlying cause before installing another belt.

How should I store battery-powered equipment?

Follow manufacturer temperature, charging, and storage instructions. Keep batteries away from heat, moisture, metal objects, and sunlight. Never use or charge a swollen, cracked, leaking, overheated, or damaged battery.

Can I pressure-wash my equipment?

High-pressure water can damage bearings, seals, electrical connections, and controls. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended cleaning procedure.

Financing

Do you offer equipment financing?

Yes. Financing may be available on qualifying equipment through participating lenders. Programs, rates, terms, minimum purchases, and eligible products can change. View all current financing options or contact our sales team for assistance.

Is financing approval guaranteed?

No. Financing is subject to application, credit approval, lender requirements, and program terms.

Does financing change the equipment price?

Cash, card, promotional, fleet, and financed prices may differ. Some financing programs include dealer fees or cannot be combined with discounts. Review the written quote before purchase and visit our Financing page for available programs and terms.

Is sales tax included in the financed amount?

When the lender permits it, applicable sales tax and qualifying charges may be included. The purchase agreement shows the final financed amount.

Can promotional financing be combined with fleet pricing?

Not always. Our sales team can compare promotional financing, cash, and fleet options for your purchase. See our Financing page for current plans, then contact us if you would like help comparing them.

Can I apply online?

Yes. Visit our Financing page to review available programs and access the appropriate secure lender application. After applying, provide our team with your application number so we can help with the next step.

Does Barry’s make the credit decision?

No. The lender determines approval, credit limit, rate, terms, and required documentation.

Commercial Customers & Fleet Pricing

Do you offer commercial fleet pricing?

Special pricing may be available for qualifying commercial customers and eligible equipment. Requirements vary by manufacturer and program.

Who qualifies for fleet pricing?

Eligibility may depend on manufacturer, business type, qualifying unit count, purchase history, and equipment. A business license, tax document, or proof of commercial operation may be required.

Can a landscaping company open a commercial account?

Can you help standardize our fleet?

Yes. We can compare models, engines, deck sizes, common parts, maintenance needs, and operator preferences to simplify fleet management.

Do you stock commercial equipment parts?

We carry many common commercial service and replacement parts. Availability depends on brand and number; some parts require special ordering.

Can commercial customers order parts in bulk?

Yes. Send part numbers and quantities. Availability, pricing, and lead time depend on the manufacturer or distributor.

Safety & Product Use

Does outdoor power equipment require safety gear?

Yes. Depending on equipment, use safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective footwear, leg protection, helmets, or high-visibility clothing. Follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.

Can safety switches or guards be removed?

No. Never remove, bypass, or disable guards, shields, safety switches, chain brakes, discharge chutes, rollover protection, or other safety systems.

Can children operate outdoor power equipment?

Follow all manufacturer age, training, and supervision requirements. This equipment can cause serious injury and should only be used by trained individuals capable of operating it safely.

Can I use a different blade or attachment?

Use only components approved for the exact model. An incorrect blade, head, guard, bar, chain, or attachment can create a serious hazard and damage equipment.

What should I do before maintenance?

Shut the equipment off, remove the key, disconnect the spark plug or battery when instructed, let hot parts cool, and follow all lockout and safety procedures in the manual.
